Dr. Tate was licensed to ministry in 1990 and began providing care, counseling, and consulting services to the Christian community. Those services have been provided in 27 states, 7 countries. 8 graduate institutions, over 50 associations, and more than 200 local churches. Music and Worship

Music Ministry

Through our music ministries here at MHBC, we seek to glorify God by leading the congregational worship each Sunday. We strive for excellence in the use of our gifts to lift up His praise in song. Currently our music ministry consists of our Worship Choir, New Generation Choir, and Praise team/band.

Worship Choir

The Worship Choir consists of teens through adults who have a desire to lead in worship by using the gift of singing given to them by God. Membership in the Worship Choir does not require knowledge of music reading or previous choir membership.  While constantly striving for excellence, we are simply a large ensemble of Christ-followers seeking to lift Him up through music. We sing every 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday in the 10:30 am worship service and rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 6pm. Please contact Jay Merricks if you are interested in joining: music@mhbchurch.com

New Generation Choir

The New Generation Choir consists of Senior Adults who love to sing to the Lord and fellowship with one another.  They meet on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. for rehearsals and have a regular outreach ministry to the nursing homes and assisted living facilities here in Danville.

Praise Team and Band

The Praise Team and Band consists of vocal and instrumental musicians who along with the Worship Choir lead our congregation in worship at the 10:30 am service.
