Sunday Morning

Infants - Preschool

Sunday School: 9:45 am - 10:30 am

Classes are led by loving and trained volunteers who have been carefully screened. Parents will be given a sticker that coordinates with the sticker their child has, and they will turn it in when they pick up their child.

Nursery: 8:15 am & 10:40 am

Nursery is available to parents during the 8:15 am, 10:40 am and 6:00 pm service. Children are cared for in a safe environment as parents and older children participate in corporate worship. Parents will be given a sticker that coordinates with the sticker their child has, and they will turn it in when they pick up their child.

Our nursery has been equipped with a wonderful security system. We ask that you come and have a tour of the area so that you are familiar with the procedures and feel comfortable with the care your child will receive. Your child is our delight, our joy, and our priority in children's ministry.

Kindergarten - 6th Grade

Sunday School: 9:45 am - 10:30 am

All of our staff and volunteers have been carefully screened. Sunday School is age graded and provides time for your children to learn the truth of Jesus through fun and age appropriate activities.

Worship: 8:15 am & 10:40 am

Families are encouraged to worship together. We believe that parents are the most important teachers of their children in worshipping God. Please encourage your child to sing, stand when the congregation stands, and to follow along with the children’s bulletin.

When is AWANA?

Awana is offered September - April on Sunday nights from 5:00 - 6:30 pm.

What is AWANA?

Awana is offered to children age 3 - 6th grade. Awana reaches kids for Christ through fun, Scripture-rich experiences that lead them to know, love and serve Him.

Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Offered through local churches, community groups and homes, Awana reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey. Those kids who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Ministry leaders and parents witness the profound impact Awana has in reaching kids with the gospel and watching them grow as long-term disciples. That’s why so many families and leaders have returned year after year, week after week, for more than three generations.

Awana equips ministry leaders and parents to reach and disciple kids who impact their generation with the gospel.

God's vision to multiply leaders is planted in countless individuals. Awana nurtures this vision. Local churches and ministries partner with Awana to train leaders who help change kids’ lives forever. With more than 60 years of experience in training leaders, Awana has proven resources and relevant training content which helps them develop into vibrant leaders at home, church and in their community.

God is at work changing the world through the evangelism and long-term discipleship ministry of Awana.

Kids lives are forever transformed. Volunteers grow as leaders. Families become stronger and churches build community through active involvement in Awana. Our world needs the hope that only Christ gives. God is using Awana to raise up kids, parents and leaders devoted to knowing Scripture, loving Him and reaching others with the gospel.

Creative Arts

As we read God’s Word, we are made aware of the arts throughout history: the temple craftsmen, the singers, the instrumentalists, the dancers.  As God’s creatures, we were designed to praise Him in every possible way. That is why at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, we feel it is important to train our children in the many different ways they may praise Him. Our Creative Arts Department has offered classes in: Choir, Handbells, Puppets, Drama, and Dance for 1st - 6th grade students. From August 15 through the remainder of 2018, we will be having Children's Choir on Wednesday nights with a performance around Thanksgiving.
